It blew by....

Whew...Last week was quite a week. It is hard to believe that everyone has come and gone. Here is a recap of our Spring Break. Tuesday the boys and Grandpa Mike went down to DC to tour the Air and Space Museums, (did you know all the museum's are free in DC?) then they went to Uncle Greg's hotel to swim and allow traffic to die down. They didn't get home until late. Since the baby was only 5 weeks old Todd and I felt it was best for me to stay home. My mother-in-law decided to stay with me as well. We decided to do a little girls day. We went to lunch, shopped at Babies R Us, napped, made grilled cheese for dinner then had chocolate dipped strawberries (YUM). As if that sugar wasn't enough we made cookies, cake and dip. It was really our first time hanging out by ourselves and I enjoyed our time. Wed. was a lazy day waiting for Uncle Greg and family to drive up from DC. Once they arrived we were in full hectic mode. The kids were in and out, the husbands were in and out, the women sat in the living room and Grandpa Mike spend his time in between all the places. Later that night the older gentlemen went and looked at a John Deere Tractor. Thurs. we went to the aquarium then out to dinner at Todd's favorite...Golden Corral. (Yep, it isn't too hard to please my old man). Friday, Uncle Greg and family left in the morning...they needed to beat the winter storm headed to Michigan. So, Friday was a clean up do laundry day. Sat. we went to lunch at Chick-fil-a, drove around looking at houses then drove Grandma Peggy and Grandpa Mike to the airport. Easter night Margaret Ruth slept through the night for the first time...Yeah! Easter was laid back. Since the boys are 11 they are too cool for Easter Egg hunts, but they did have a great time finding things with the metal detector in Bubba and Bill's yard. (Somehow Uncle Greg left the metal detector and now my yard is full of divots). We ate lunch at Bubba's house and had Honey baked Ham...Yummy! Yesterday was laid back...Bubba took the boys to see Dr. Seuss' movie and we took the opportunity to get some work done at the studio. Today I had a Dr. appt and took the opportunity to go to my former place of employment to show off the baby. Then I was able to show off my little girl to my 90 year old grandmother...this was their first meeting and it was precious. She was so gitty over her. It was cute.

Despite the crowded conditions (which weren't all that bad) we had a great time. It is wonderful to be able to spend two of the last six weeks with Peggy. I have enjoyed watching her interact with Margaret Ruth. I also loved watching Grandpa interact with her!!! I was jealous!!! (: I have been doubly blessed this holiday to have spent it with two families that we love.
