Okay, Todd wasn't in charge of all 74 of Zach's classmates. But he was on a bus full of 50 or so 11 year olds for Zach's last field trip in elementary school to Washington D.C.
Their day started out at 4:30 AM to get ready to meet everyone at 5:10 AM...Yes, girls that is AM. As for me I was sound asleep with Margaret Ruth in my arms. By the first hour into the trip Todd was already exhausted and had a headache.
After three hours on the bus they arrived at their first destination...Mt. Vernon. There they were able to see the mansion that George Washington owned/farmed. They also visited his tomb. One neat fact about George Washington he had symetic gardens on either side of the house. Apparently it didn't look right unless they were even on each side.
Next they went to Natural Science Museam. Did you all know that all the D.C. museams are free? They are very interesting as well. The museam is self-explantory...bugs, animals, plants and boy things galore.
Finally before leaving D.C. they went to the Air and Space museam. This museams hosts all the beginnings of flight and flight in space. It has moon rocks, space suits and a flight simulator. Apparently the sumulator spins 360 degrees...the parents oppted out.
Then they were on their way home where Todd gained another headache.
Happy 25th birthday, Elijah~
