Something that made me think:

Yesterday, our employee Pete came upstairs and informed me that his cousin's husband died that day. He was a young man in his thirties who had a wife, an 11 month old, two dogs and a mortgage payment. He has so much to live for and lots of life left. Even though I didn't know him and have only met the wife a couple of times my heart sank. I don't even want to imagine what the young wife is going through! I am sure the pain can seem unbearable. It makes me want to go over to her house and take her away and escape from her torture.

With that heavy on our minds Todd and I went to bed thinking of her and their child. We talked about the what ifs and the can't believes of life. We really stressed to each other how fragile life is and the importance of everyday. It also allowed us to think about the stuff that needs to be lined up when that day approaches our door.

There are people who can't have their loved one back and must live their days without them. It makes those times when I would like to have a couple days to myself seem awfully selfish! So, when you see your husband/wife, kids today give them a hug and let them know how much you love them...You never know when it will be the last time you see them.

Update: The man who passed had a twin brother who passed four years ago, (that poor mother) and passed in the same manner...electrocution. We have found out that the husband did not have a life insurance policy or any kind of death benefits. Please pray for her and her family.
