Just off the presses: Payson has a blood infection. They still don't know what kind of blood infection, but that he has one. They have started antibiotics and once they find out the type of infection they will be able to tailor the antibiotics to that specific strain of infection. So, Payson is not only healing from major abdominal surgery, but is now fighting a very serious and dangerous infection. We will get more information as the cultures grow and I will keep this posted! In the meantime, Payson has decided to share a few smiles with his dad tonight! What a good boy!

This will most certainly push discharge back at the very least 10 days, when his run of antibiotics is over. We will just start planning again when he is better. Sucks, but it is what we have to do!
